Depression: ‘Mindfulness-based therapy shows promise’

A mindfulness-based therapy could provide a “new choice for millions of people” with recurrent depression, a study in the Lancet says.


Now there is clear evidence that mindfulness-based therapy has a comparable result as anti-depression medicines. However, with mindfulness people avoid the negative add-on effects of the chemical pills. Besides using the self recovering natural power of the body, this is likely to be a bigger advantage.
